Dating a Psychopath

(dating a psychopath)
all in on the big lie
a brilliant eye for detail
ignores all the quirks

crinkled skin, her reflection
tear-dried-streaks of make-up
shards of mirror on the floor

tiled canvas, ridges, chairs, her
blood flowers bloom, brush strokes
across her pale, plaster backbone

cut the tresses, token tendrils to drag
her with, framing “her nothingness”
as broken ribs; bruises; teeth marks
show her all the love he has to give

single girls say, “she’s got all the luck”
